Have you ever wanted to walk across the bottom of the river, lake or ocean to see all the ships that have sunk?
The Aral Sea was once the world's fourth-largest saline body of water. It has been steadily shrinking since the 1960’s, after the rivers that fed it were diverted by Soviet Union irrigation projects. And now it's almost gone leaving a desert full of old shipwrecks.
A friend of mine sent me this.
This preacher from Texas, Matthew LaGrange, and his friend from Colorado, Dan Scates, went fishing on the Big Thompson outside of Estes Park in Colorado. It was his first ever fly-fishing venture. A Denver Post staff photographer, Joe Amon, happened to be there and got the photos. One of the pictures made it to the front page of the Denver post.
I don’t think the idea of fly fishing is to catch a bulk elk but these guys managed to do it!
It wasn’t so long ago that we all wouldn’t have had two thoughts about these advertisements. Sometimes it is amazing what a bit of social engineering will do!
